Our Staff

The staff at South Jersey Vascular Surgery Center provides the highest quality of care and service to patients requiring vascular access procedures. Each member of our staff is committed to creating a friendly, professional, and personal experience. Along with our top-level physicians, our staff consists of multiple experienced nurses, radiology technicians and a knowledgeable front desk team.

Paul J. Svigals, MD

Dr. Paul J. Svigals is an Interventional Radiologist. He graduated with honors from New York Medical College in 1981 and went on to complete his residency in Radiology at NYU Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Angiography and Interventional Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Svigals has more than 36 years of  experience in interventional radiology. Dr. Svigals is certified by the American Board of Radiology.

Brian A. Bianco, DO, MBA, DABR

Dr. Bianco is an experienced Interventional Radiologist that joined our team in December of 2020. He brings with him expertise in the endovascular management of arterial disease, limb salvage, venous disease, uterine fibroid embolization, interventional oncology and hemodialysis access. Dr. Bianco earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Bianco completed an internship in internal medicine at Graduate Hospital followed by residency in diagnostic radiology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he also served as Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine – Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Bianco is the former Chairman and Clinical Service Chief of the Department of Radiologic Sciences, Section Chief of Interventional Radiology, and Director of Interventional Oncology at Hahnemann University Hospital. Dr. Bianco is an Associate Professor of Radiologic Sciences and Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine. He recently served as the Director of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia, where he continued use of advanced techniques in interventional oncology, including, Yttrium-90radioembolization, chemoembolization, and ablation. Dr. Bianco is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Society of Interventional Radiology and Philadelphia Angiography & Interventional Radiology Society.

Margaret Sherman, RN, BSN

Margaret received her RN/AAS from Beth Israel School of Nursing and her BSN from Pace University, both located in Manhattan.  Her career spans 37+ years and includes working in hospital departments including pediatrics, PACU, Operating Room and the Emergency Room, as well as working as a Clinical Specialist for a vascular implant company. Margaret has been the Director of Nursing for multiple Ambulatory Surgery Centers since 2004.

Jeffrey E. Turek, Administrator

Jeffrey has been in healthcare for 32+ years, accumulating a wealth of clinical and business knowledge.  Over the last 10 years, he has been the business manager/administrator for the center.  Jeffrey has an A.A. Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, a B.S. Degree in Business/Finance (University of Baltimore) and an M.B.A. from Temple University’s Executive MBA Program.
